Mark Hurwich, Photographer/ Potter
Mark's photographs and pottery here juxtapose how we've been with where we find ourselves now...an invitation to spiritual nourishment, with a soupçon of whimsey.
Pieces include "Remember When," a photo-video that imagines what it might have been like for my deceased mother to return to celebrate Passover in these strange pandemic times. Pottery that creates flower-filled sanctuary. And additional photographs.

About Mark
Mark's work reflects a life-long interest in illuminating the whimsical, playful and quirky wonderfulness ever-present within and around us. Mark's shot stills in books like Fearless at Work; provided images for web sites like dreamchange.org; lit, shot, and edited video for projects like “Working with Passion;” and photographs others’ art. Ceramics is a new outlet that feeds his hunger for hands-on creativity, especially with the joy (and tedium) of darkroom work less available. When not behind a camera, editing on a computer, or before a wheel, Mark is a coach who helps creatives playfully get unstuck (e.g., dissolving writer’s block, fear of career shift, etc.) via www.concentratedcoaching.net. His artist web site is www.whim-see.net.
